Fit Physiotherapy UK offer Occupational Health and Wellbeing services individually tailored to suit each clients needs. Services can include: health promotion; screening for early identification of health problems and risk management; prompt musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Our Physiotherapists work proactively to improve the health and wellbeing of people; enabling a positive and productive workforce.
Our management is client centred and holistic. It takes into account people's emotional, psychological and social wellbeing; as well as the symptoms of their musculoskeletal disease or problem. We also recognise the complex relationship between each of these factors. As a result we employ a 'cognitive functional' approach to care, with an emphasis on accurately framing the persons' understanding of their problem, changing maladaptive movement and any cognitive or lifestyle behaviours that may be contributing to the problem. This approach has demonstrated better results as compared to traditional Physiotherapy treatment and manual therapy (link).
In most cases, staff are able to self-refer to our services, however we also receive referrals from managers and Occupational Health departments.
Our services also include:
- Early access to face to face Physiotherapy appointment
- Telephone Appointments
- Preparing and writing Occupational Health reports for management
- Recommendations for RIDDOR reporting
- Functional capacity assessments
- Return to work/duties planning
- Specific work task rehabilitation and or task specific manual handling planning
